Google-Yahoo announce deal
Google took one more step towards owning a monopoly on the internet advertising industry by announcing a ten year deal with Yahoo the other day (news report here) Yahoo will now be using the Google adsense network, and it is expected to raise $250 million for Yahoo in the first year.
This could explain why Yahoo did not sign the deal with Microsoft, even though it seemed like Microsoft was offering more than they were worth. This deal is going to mean huge jumps for the Yahoo stock. investors, I’d buy now if I were you.
If you are an Adwords users, I would assume that this would be good for you, as your ads are going to have more reach now. Only time will tell how this is going to effect internet business.
