It’s On!: The $100 Adsense Challenge
After some twittering with Gio over at TheOvernightSite.com , I’ve agreed to participate in his Adsense Challenge.
The Goal
To build a blog from basically nothing, and have it making $100 with Adsense in a month.
The Sites
I will be using FretFeed.com , Gio will be using ArrestedDevelopmentBlog.com
My Gameplan:
Since Gio posted his gameplan for week 1, I figured I follow suit:
- –Posting lots of content. A minimum of 3 per week. I already brainstormed about 15 article ideas, So I shouldn’t have any trouble hitting at least that mark. Hopefully I’ll have at least one a day.
- –Setting up Google news Alerts, and keeping up with the latest in music & guitar related news. This will give me more ideas for content, and a chance to jump on relevant subjects. Also try using TweetBeep to target some people on Twitter.
- –Update some of the adsense placements, and possibly split test different colors and sizes.
- –Install the usual suite of helpful wordpress plug-ins: All-in-One SEO, related posts, socialize, RSS footer, Google Sitemap generator, etc.
- –Add Adsense to the RSS feeds & set up e-mail feeds.
- –Do more forum posting and blog commenting on guitar boards & blogs.
That should be more than enough to keep me busy. Best of luck to Gio, and may the best blog win!
Sweet! This should be fun. Is there anything if any of us succeeds. I think $100 is good enough!
