Shifting Focus

I’ve been doing a lot of soul searching lately, and I’ve realized that I need to make some changes in the way I’ve been spending my time and energy as of late. When working on websites and such, I’ve realized that I’ve been wearing way to many hats. At varying points, I was trying to be a programmer, a web developer, a web designer, a graphic designer, a marketer, a seller, a writer, an affiliate, and a SEO specialist.

I’ve come to realize that I’ve spent way to much time worrying about web marketing and making money online, and getting distracted from what I really want to do, which is be a programmer and web developer. I really love coding, and I am going to start focusing more of my attention on that.

I am also talking to some people about donig some freelance work for them, and I am going back to school in mid-august, where I’ll be taking a class about C++,  which will help me be more focused, So I know I need to be dedicating myself towards that.

As such, the general tone of this blog is going to change as well. There will be a lot fewer (if any) articles on link building, social media, etc.  And more posts about Programming and Design.

I’ll also be adding some content for freelancing, not just for my customers, but for other freelancers and anyone who is either looking to get in the online game, or improve their performance there. Many companies to this day still don’t have a website, and if they do, they may not be using it effectively. I’d like to make some new pages & posts to help people like that out. I will be doing what I can to keep this updated as much as possible. (note: July 2008 already has the most posts of any month here since this blog started).

I’m excited about these changes, and I hope my readers, both present and future, like them to.
