TAC Crashes and Burns

It kind of saddens to write this, because I was really looking foward to the Top Affiliate Challenge. The TAC became a shining example of good idea, poor execution.

First off, The affiliate offers starting showing up on the blogs of the ‘gurus’ such as  Shoemoney.com (he later removed the post). I just felt this was a really low-class move on these people’s parts.

Secondly, there was a bunch of drama because John Chow apparently got the password to team Toolbarn’s(Shoemoney’s team)  team blog and wrote a couple posts, and this all lead to a bunch of childish squabbling amongst everyone.

On top of all that, I COULDN’T watch the show due to server overload. You mean to tell me that you get all of these internet geniuses together, and you didn’t know to get enough bandwidth to play this thing?

After letting it idle for 45 minutes, I was able to see about 4 minutes of the show. It looks like it was shot on a $20 camera, the host has zero personality (great rack though), and then right before mine cut out, there is some commercial for a jeweler in Lincoln Nebraska! WTF? I figured you people would have heard of targeted advertising.

This post may sound a little angry, but really, I’m just dissapointed.
